Lee Bon Leong & Co was founded in 1971 by our founding partner, Mr Lee Bon Leong, now retired. From its beginnings as a sole proprietorship, the firm has grown into an established partnership with a strong and enduring presence in Singapore’s legal landscape.
Guided by our core values of professionalism, integrity, service, and commitment to the community, we have built a dedicated team of lawyers who bring both experience and specialist knowledge to their respective areas of practice. Our firm serves a broad base of individual and corporate clients and provides a wide range of legal services to housing developers, banks, financial institutions, corporations, management corporations, associations, and other organisations, both local and foreign. We have acted on an ad hoc basis for all major local banks in relation to mortgage and property financing matters for our clients.
Since 1995, we have served as legal advisers to various Town Councils in Singapore. In addition to prosecuting Town Council summonses, we advise and act in a wide range of legal matters for Town Councils.

Our History
More than five decades of practice.
Lee Bon Leong, JP, PBM, BBM
Mr Lee Bon Leong founded the firm in 1971 and led it as founding and principal partner until his retirement in 2020. Under his leadership, what began as a sole proprietorship grew into an established partnership with a strong and enduring presence in Singapore’s legal landscape.
A respected senior member of the Singapore Bar, Mr Lee served for more than 15 years on the Law Society’s Conveyancing Rulings Committee and as an adviser to the Resource Panel on the Conveyancing Practice Committee. He represented the Law Society on LawNet, a government-led initiative to computerise conveyancing practice, and was among the Law Society’s representatives at the Select Committee hearing on the revamp of the Land Titles (Strata) Act.
Beyond practice, he contributed widely to public and community service — appointed a Justice of the Peace in 1998, serving on the Board of Visiting Justices and the Board of Inspection, and chairing the Board of Visitors for the SCDF and SPF Detention Barracks and the Home Detention Advisory Committee 2, among other appointments. He also served as Chairman of the Singapore Lee Clan General Association and as President of the World Lee Clan Association.
Though Mr Lee has retired from practice, his standards, professional values and deep ties across Singapore’s legal and community life remain part of the firm — and continue to shape its approach to client service.
